“I think what would be good for mom (person) is to just believe in herself.
I believe I am a strong warrior and maybe she could believe that she is a strong growing soul. She is beautiful.
I love my sister cat too. She is really wise. Often I ask her questions. She knows that every year the sun sets earlier and earlier. Each winter I forget that the days will get longer in Spring. Every year my sister reminds me of that.”

“Can I tell my mom something when she sat me down and she told me that I need to listen to the other dogs and go to the bathroom where they go I understood her. I have been going outside cause I learned.
At my old home my person she had anxiety. She took medicine to make her stay calm and I was a dog to keep her calm but she said I gave her more anxiety. I told her that she should nap more because she stays up too late at night and she didn’t listen. She gave me away cause she said that I was not smart but I thought I was smart.
She had me since I was little and she sometimes would drink so much she would forget to take me out.
I want to say that my mom and dad have special talks with me that tell me how to understand them. They tell me to be quiet and they look at me and they teach me to listen. Also my mom sometimes when she pets me she tells me how much a good boy I am and I am learning to listen to people with my ears and my mind.
I learned this family wants you to go out and they have an alive brain. I am learning.”

“For a horse, knowing you have a home for life is like having a carrot you can always eat!”
Telling a horse they have a home for life is one of my favorite things to do. Horses often have many homes in their lifetime and it is too easy for them to fall into cruel hands.
There are occasions where some people have me tell their horse they have a home for life and then the people go back on their promise. This breaks my heart more than anyone can imagine.

When asked if Maka if she remembers falling off the 4th story roof deck she says,
“I remember bang hurt my neck and throbbing in my eye, my right side. I remember that pretty well. I also remember to think about depth because I never knew that space can play tricks on your eyes. I remember kisses, kisses my eye is throbbing. I remember wondering if my eating is ever going to feel right. It feels right now but sometimes my eye still throbs.”
