Luca my poodle says, “Happiness is when you have good times with friends” Felix my chihuahua mix says, “Happiness is when you trust yourself and live in the moment.” #onetogrowon
Time to go for ride. Luca and Hudson. Luca has his protective eye on Felix and Easter. He is making sure they make it into the car.
I have been wondering lately if I should get the dogs Halloween costumes. Today Luca came to me and said, “I want to be a pirate for Halloween.” I replied, “ok Luca. How about a skull and crossbones bandanna?” He said, “No, not that kind of pirate. The kind of pirate that is skillful, smart and is kind of like me. You know, Classy?” And then it hit me! I’m listening to a book called Frenchman’s Creek by Daphne Du Maurier. The Frenchman is a Pirate, but he is a different kind of pirate. He is exactly what Luca describes and romantic and sophisticated too! Oh my Luca! You would make such a great pirate!
Luca says, “It’s fun to do new things. You should take your dog to different places and have them find new toys.” #ziggystoy @rosedeva
I was talking seriously with Luca about staying in the fence line at the barn, because I’m worried about the road. I explained how he could be hit by a car and either die or be seriously hurt. I asked him if he understood and he replied, “I am very into myself right now.” I asked him what that meant and he said, “I am thinking about what you said inside of me.” He is a very good boy to contemplate what it all means. I’m proud of him.
