Looking for Something
Tag Archives: whitewolf
My four dogs were barking out the front window. Not a wild bark just a unnecessary, “Hey, I see you across the street.” bark. I stopped them and then mumbled, “It’s all about being good…”
Hudson cut me off and says, “No that’s not what it is about. Its not about just being good. It’s about changing your behavior to reflect a calm and smart inner state. Just being good is just not doing bad. The reason to be calm and quiet is to find joy and peace in the moment.”
That is my smart boy! He has been listening and growing up!
Being a New Yorker transplanted to California, I love the rain! I love thunderstorms, running in the rain and just the feeling of getting wet! Hudson loves it too. My three others not so much. Luca and Felix, I can coax into some serious wet weather fun, but Easter she’d rather stay inside. Though as you can see, she did have a little bit of fun in the mud.
Hudson says, “I don’t even notice it with my big coat. The birds are all quiet. I love the smell of the earth and the sound of the raging river.”
Easter says, “I hate thunder. When my paws get wet, I’m cold. I’d much rather feel the sun.”
Luca says, “I like running in the rain. Then we have a purpose and I don’t think about it. I don’t like just sniffing in the rain and I don’t like wearing my raincoat.”
Felix says, “If it’s misting, I don’t mind the rain at all. I love the smell and the feel of the earth, but when it is coming down hard it makes me feel too wet.”
“I feel a little overwhelmed. I am having a hard time processing doing what I want to do verse doing what you want me to do.”
This definitely had to do with me not wanting him to chase those porcupines.
He will figure it out. He is my good boy. It takes great consciousness to think about changing his behavior and what it all means.
“The more I watch the more I learn. Sometimes it can be hard to just sit still and watch it all go by.”
Time to go for ride. Luca and Hudson. Luca has his protective eye on Felix and Easter. He is making sure they make it into the car.
The pups had their first day at @campcaninesb yesterday! Hudson can get stressed when meeting multiple energetic dogs but John and Anthony, the owners/trainers, at Camp Canine worked their magic with Hudson! Hudson says, “I loved playing. I had to think really hard at first. The dogs there just know fun. I went for a bike ride with John and it was hard to run along the bike because I was tired. I wasn’t sure about that part but I liked my time there. I would go back.”
#besties Ever since Hudson found Easter in the woods they have been best friends. Easter my chihuahua says, “Hudson is my best friend because he is always up for playing.” Hudson my German Shepherd says, “Easter maybe small, but she is tough and funny.”
Easter Learning To Drive. Hudson as co-pilot. Luca hanging his head out the back window and Felix chilling in the back seat.
Easter says, “He is the biggest dog friend I have ever had. He is an explorer like me.”
Hudson says, “She’s all joy and I found her first. I love her.”
Hudson says, “How many thoughts make up my future?” We have been talking a lot about having goals and how our thoughts create our lives. Hudson has been listening! It’s comments like this that see my late Stormy in him. Hudson says, “I want play time and mountain time in my future. I also would like to make every being smile when they see me!”
Hudson and George. The look on George’s face pretty much sums up how everyone feels when they see Hudson running towards them at full speed.
It’s Hudson’s two year Birthday today! Happy Birthday, Hudson!
Hudson says, “I want to a puppy forever. It’s so much fun. I understand a lot about the world. I feel everyday should be a day to celebrate!”
Hudson says, “I’m so happy to be alive. It’s the best feeling.”
I woke up a little cranky. I had just noticed that Hudson slept in and we missed our morning snuggle time. I was pouting about a number of things when Hudson came over to me and reminded me that there is another way to experience the morning and set up my mood for the day. I am happy to be alive too ?
Hudson and his friend Lilly. Hudson says, “I like Lilly because when we play I feel like I can run faster. She can control her body well by making fast twisty turns.”
