Smokey tells his story, “You know what happened.  Is that my person died while I was in the house and then I was found and my mom went to heaven.  I was taken to the vet to be looked over and then my mom from heaven looked at list of people who may adopt me.  She checked on them all and she found my new mom.   My old mom that died started to cry from heaven and she told me, ‘this woman is going to be the best mom for my little boy’ and I was never sure if she was right because toward the end of her life she made strange assumptions.   So she showed me my new mom and then I cried too because I knew I would be safe and loved.”
