This morning on a walk we ran into a couple who had one dog. They like most people asked me, “Are they all yours?” Talking about my pack of five. We chatted for a bit.
After they walked away, Easter asked me, “Are you allowed to have five dogs?”
I told her yes, of course.
Then she asked, “Then why do people ask if we are all yours?”
I explained to her that most people don’t live with so many dogs, but I also wondered if five dogs was a secret wish of one of the individuals we met and their spouse wouldn’t allow it and Easter happened to pick it up.
