This is Makia.

She is 17 years old and has diabetes. Her poor eyesight and cramping legs does not stop her from climbing on the vines above the house.

Here she says, “Mom, I’m stuck can you help me get down?”

She insists on me showing her the way rather than carrying her down.

 

Now she is prancing around the house so proud of herself. I think she’s been up there a few hours.
