I asked Luca and Easter what animals need. Here aree their responses:

Luca, my poodle, says, “Animals need constant guidance. We don’t always know what behavior you want us to do. If we are doing something you don’t want us to do, you have to interrupt us the same way each time and then show us we are good with pets.”

Easter, my chihuahua mix, says, “Animals need to have some freedom to make their own decisions. I like to wander. When we make a smart decision, you should praise us, so we know to think like that again. We try lots of behaviors for fun. We should know what you like.”
