This is Scout. She is 12 years old. She just had dental surgery, and she may need surgery on her eye.

She says, “I know that surgeries are hard for my mom, but they are not that big of a deal for me. My mouth feels better. I can eat more. I like the mushy, blended, and warm food. Mom, I have to tell you I feel cared for and supported by you… We should have a happy party. It’s when we invite people we love over and just be happy. No drama talking. Only miracle talking.”

I love how Scout is such a positive girl. She reminds us to keep an upbeat attitude even about surgeries and recovery.
