MOSS FINDS JOY IN HIS NEW HOME

moss.staffa.jpg
THIS WAS WRITTEN BY MOSS’S PERSON:
Moss was adopted into his forever home in Aug 2008 from a Border Collie rescue… Here is part of his reading in Nov 2008 – There is soo much to this story but these are some exerpts:
Laura asked him “why are you down and not joyful?”
Moss; I don’t know how to be joyful. I wonder when I will go to my next home. I am afraid of doing something wrong and being punished again.
Laura said Moss had always been out doors, never a family pet. He is still trying to grasp the concept of being out of the elements and being a family dog.
Laura asked him why doesn’t he play?
Moss: I don’t play because I got hit for playing and chewing a stick. I was also grabbed by his collar and hit with the stick. They also threw a can of coins at me when he was bad. (He still plays with himself – but likes to race around the back yard with me now – his Mom)
M: you mean they are going to keep me forever?
L; Yes
M: And I’ll never see sheep again? (was formerly being trained as a sheep herder before rescue)
L: No
M: Can they give me cheese?
L: Yes (And he loves it as a training aid – or just because)
