This was written by Emma’s person: “Just to let you know that we let Emma go on October 24th. If you recall she was the cattle dog with kidney troubles. After being told by our Vet at the end of May, that Emma would only last a month, Emma pushed on for more than 5 months. She bravely and quietly took her subcutacious fluids everyday and still wanted her walk. As time went on it became harder and harder for her to process food. In the end after losing more than half her body weight, she was ready to go. We were so very fortunate to have her as part of our family for 15 1/2 years.
Thank you so much for coming to us at such a difficult time. I really needed to know what Emma was thinking and feeling and especially if we were doing “the right thing” by administering the fluids. I could tell you and Emma connected right away and that Emma had things she wanted to communicate to her loved ones. I will treasure her words ( through you) always! Thank you again for bringing some comfort to Emma and to us as her life was ending.”
